For many projects, nutritional analysis and cooking guideline work go hand in hand. We can prepare samples using the agreed cooking guideline and coordinate dispatch to accredited laboratories, giving you consistent preparation and clear traceability.
Your samples are processed using calibrated equipment and appliances, photographed after cooking and homogenised ready for analysis. You receive a preparation record alongside the laboratory's nutritional reports.
What we record
- Appliances, settings and times used for preparation.
- Pre- and post-cook weights
- Post- cook temperatures
- Photographs of the prepared samples.
- Sample reference information linking preparation back to your specifications.
Appliances and preparation
We can prepare nutritional samples using any domestic appliance, such as ovens, microwaves, grills, hob tops, air fryers and other formats used in the home. When you book testing you can confirm the exact preparation needed.
When generation and validation testing are booked alongside nutritional work, we can prepare samples in line with the guideline being validated, simplifying your overall project.
Types of nutritional testing we support
Through our partner laboratories we support a range of common nutritional analyses. Typical requests include:
- Group 2 nutritional analysis (with trans fats on request).
- Basic meat content.
- Salt (by sodium).
- Sugar.
