Hands on Product Preference

Following completion of the Foundation Level, or for delegates with previous sensory training or experience; we provide a series of Hands On courses which focus on practical industry applications.

This course focuses on methods used to understand consumer preference. As a sensory professional, participating in key decision processes, this course will equip delegates to draw reasoned conclusions based on consumer sensory data.

This course is divided into three key elements. In the morning, we will consider real product preference applications, setting objectives and experiment design. Later, the delegates conduct a consumer panel, followed in the afternoon, by a collaborative data analysis and decision making session.

Course Duration: 1 day
Dates for 2012: TBC
Cost per delegate: £375+VAT

Hands on product profiling

This course explores the applications of QDA (quantitative descriptive analysis) and producing accurate product profiles. Following an initial theory session, delegates have the opportunity to work with our experienced analytical panel.

Course duration : 1 day
Dates for 2012: TBC
Cost per delegate: £375+VAT

Hands on Alternative Profiling

New methods are continually being developed and explored by the global sensory research community. QDA is thorough but in some situations, faster or consumer panel profiling could advantageous. This course considers the latest methods in product profiling, applications, benefits and potential pitfalls.

Course duration : 1 day
Dates for 2012:TBC
Cost per delegate: £375+VAT

Hands on difference

There are many applications in industry for understanding where difference occurs. This course considers situations where accurate discrimination testing can be invaluable. After considering the theory, candidates will have the opportunity to work with our analytical panel to design, conduct and analyze sensory discrimination data.

Course duration : 1 day
Dates for 2012: TBC
Cost per delegate: £375+VAT
